IHOP “PANCIZZA”

February 9 is National Pizza Day, a day when people think about pizza—not pancakes. However, as a fellow circle-food purveyor, IHOP decided to flip expectations and steal the conversation by inventing the Pancizza. What’s a Pancizza? It’s a pizza-sized pancake from IHOP. It’s hot. It’s innovative. It’s circular. And it comes in a box.

Partnering with DoorDash, we delivered Pancizzas right to customers’ doorsteps in custom-designed Pancizza boxes (which are very similar to pizza boxes).

But we didn’t just deliver Pancizzas; we opened up a Pancizzeria in New York City where people could try them by the slice. Located right next to the famous Bleecker Street Pizza, our Pancizzeria served up fresh Pancizzas one after the other and was even complete with an enthusiastic accordion player.
